Roof Inspections & Aerial Documentation

A useful roof inspection should answer a practical question: what is visible, what may need attention, and what—if anything—should happen next. It should not begin with the assumption that a roof needs replacement.

Ground and interior observations

Many useful clues can be documented from the ground, accessible windows, ceilings and attic spaces. Changes such as missing material, displaced flashing, drainage problems or new interior moisture are worth documenting.

Aerial inspection

Where appropriate, aerial imagery can help document roof surfaces and hard-to-see areas without asking a homeowner to walk the roof. Some conditions still require qualified hands-on evaluation.

After storms

Weather alone does not prove roof damage. If you notice a change after wind, hail or heavy rain, document what you can safely observe and have questionable conditions evaluated rather than assuming a claim or replacement is necessary.
